Diablo 4 Pets: Are the New Microtransactions Worth It?

Diablo 4 has introduced non-combat pets to its in-game shop with the Pale Perry and Quillgem Scamp bundles. This is the first time Diablo 4 has featured pets in the shop, a common practice in Blizzard's World of Warcraft. Diablo 4 Items Each bundle costs 2,500 Platinum Coins, roughly $25.

Diablo 4's First Shop Pets: A Sign of Things to Come?

With the addition of the Pale Perry and Quillgem Scamp bundles, Diablo 4 takes a page from World of Warcraft's monetization strategy. Blizzard has been experimenting with microtransactions since 2009. In Diablo 3, pets were often rewards. Now, Diablo 4 offers them for purchase.

These bundles add lore to the pets. Pale Perry's description hints at a dark origin, while the Quillgem Scamp is described as a wealthy runt.
